By Hugh
Do not buy this SSD. It will not work correctly with a Dell mini9. Alignment will not work either. Go buy something else, anything else.

By T. Roethler
I purchased this drive to install into a Dell Mini 9 (910) netbook. I have re-installed XP home which came with the system and have loaded the required drivers. Actually I have done the re-install twice now. I am experiencing very slow system response with this drive. Boot up takes an unusually long amount of time and starting programs is like waiting for paint to dry. I would not recommend using this drive for a main system drive. I will be going back to the STEC 8 gig that came with the netbook.

By C. Therrien
T.Roethler above said it all. This SSD-on-a-chip is a disaster. Inexplicably poor performance, something holding this thing back, tried fresh installation, reformat, etc. Still super slow, you just wait and wait for "what?" Almost as if the processor was running at 200Mhz ?? It is not the basic Dell Mini 9, because running Ubuntu from a USB-attached CDROM worked fine. Reinstalling the original 8GB SSD, performance returns to normal for this mini PC. But very difficult to get much free space from a little 8GB drive. Best I could do was get 1.5GB free space after removing everything except essential Windows folder. Hopefully there are some other alternatives out there. Avoid this one like the plague.
