The item shipped is a super talent FPM16GLSE sata II mini PCI-E MLC 16gb ssd. For those who still have an outdated netbook that uses mini PCI-E SSD's this is a decent hard drive to run.1) They don't really make mini PCI-E SSD's (The more expensive runcore SSD's are to find)2) They are really expensive. On ebay you might be able to find a kingston 16gb drive for $30. Here on amazon, most 16gb SSD's of this type are about $40 or more.As the item description notes, you need to make sure what dimensions your machine will take. The item shipped is roughly 30mm x 70mm. Also, this is a mini PCI that sends data over in the SATA protocol. If you have a netbook that only accepts PATA protocol (ie older dell mini's 9's), then don't order this.Using atto benchmark (OS is Windows XP SP3), I was getting write speeds of about 20mb/s and read speeds of about 70mb/s. (for smaller file sizes, it was slower.. but still much faster than the stock Phison SSD that came with the netbook). My netbook feels snappy after this upgrade.
