2BSOD issues...
By B. Kim
First, the Pros: it's a terrific SSD value; if you don't have SATA3 on your current machine, you won't notice the speed difference (even if you did have SATA3 and a SATA3 SSD, it's unlikely unless you're moving very large files often); the overall build quality seems good. The Caveats: google around and make sure that you know what your specific build/machine needs. On my Asus UL20A, it required me to upgrade my BIOS, change the hard drive status in BIOS to IDE for the Windows 7 install, but then do a very specific registry tweak right after to switch it back to AHPI, but make sure I used the Microsoft AHPI driver and not the Intel Storage Matrix one that would've been installed if I just put back everything that the UL20A originally shipped with. The Con: it's a big one... like lots of Sandforce controller SSD's, there's a big BSOD issue when sleeping. This is a VERY big deal if you're putting this in a laptop, and it's unclear how seriously SanDisk is taking this: [...]

1Died within 1 week, the replacement after one day.
By Bruno
Installed this in a Dell Latitude E6500 and followed with a fresh install of Windows 7. It worked fine for one week, but then the computer would not boot, nor could the drive been seen in an external enclosure. Amazon replaced it, but the same thing happened to the replacement drive after one day. Not exactly the level of reliability that I had been expecting. The old disk drive continues to work fine.

5SSD FTW
By F. Uson
Fast and cheap! I am in the process of replacing all boot drives onf my pc/laptops/macs with SSD's I know its quite expensive but I am taking my time and buying one by one. Cant believe a 4yr old macbook booting up in less than 20 secs and opening adobe CS in about 30 seconds.Update on Jan 5. This will be my third purchase of the same 120gb. Now its on two laptops and a desktop. I am debating if I going to put my third one in my mac mini 2011 or another laptop I have. :D
