5Wow, it smokes!
By Fireplug
I've had 10K rpm drives in my computer, but nothing compares to the speed of this SSD. The thing just smokes. The 2.5 inch form factor is ok with my desktop as long as you get a 2.5 to 3.5 inch adapter. 128MB is more than enough space. I've got Win 7 ultimate, Office 2007, a number of document handling programs, some video and photo editing software, itunes, etc. and I'm only using 30GB.In all honesty, I didn't think I would see the magnitude of change in loading the system from boot. It's really interesting also that the time it takes to come back from sleep (standby) and the time it takes to come back from hibernation is remarkably similar. If you are tired of slow booting, this is for you.

5Owner of 2 other Kingston SSDs, canceling silly 1-star review
By Cosmo Kramer
I have 2 V-Series drives (64GB and 128GB) and they are great. Good price, nice build, reliable. One is running in a Mac Mini running Snow Leopard, and makes that machine feel twice as fast. The other is in a Toshiba netbook, and makes that one usable, faster than my GF's core duo Toshiba laptop with a mechanical HD. And the external enclosures are a nice touch, making it easier to transfer files and giving you an external backup drive if you are replacing your internal drive with the SSD. Will say that the V series enclosures are not high quality, as 1 out of 2 failed, but the V+ looks to have a better enclosure. Then again, they are not provided as rugged day to day enclosures, but simply as a convenient way to transfer files during the upgrade, as laptops usually have only one SATA port. If you want a day to day enclosure, spend real money and buy a good one. :)I do plan on buying a V+ series for my next laptop, as it will be even faster than the V-Series I am using now. But I had to enter a 5-star review simply to cancel out the 1-star from the guy who wants to buy a USA market product, ship it to south america, and have his warranty honored. After all, if low reviews stand, it hurts sales. If sales are hurt, then it keeps the prices high, as kingston won't sell many and can't offer discounts based on economy of scale. All because some naive person thinks it's unfair that he should abide by the warranty terms and source the drive locally...

4SSD Upgrade
By R. Thompson
After getting new software from Kingston, cloning went flawlessly. Only took 28 minutes to clone C, D and E drives. Impressive! Only 4 GB available for C drive, after cloning, not much "wiggle room". I used Windows 7 storage administration to delete D drive and allocate the space to C, giving me 59 GB total. Only problem is, I STILL cannot do a "System Image" backup, even after uninstalling a few big applications. I'm getting "insufficient memory for Virtual file" message. Maybe I'll get an answer Monday when I call.
