I bought an AsusN56vx-Ds71 laptop after many hours of research and the only reason it took as long as it did to buy this laptop was the weakness of the 750Gig 5400rpm HDD. After I decided to make the purchase I immediately decided to purchase through Amazon the Samsung 840 SATA III 250Gig SSD to replace the original HDD in the laptop. I also bought a TOURO 1TB 7200rpm external drive as a storage drive. The Samsung drive comes with migration software that worked flawlessly and within an hour I had done the swap. Absolutely no regrets, as a matter of fact I am so impressed with the performance of the 250SSD I am thinking about a Samsung 512Gig SSD to eliminate the use of the TOURO. Must say although I live in the Caribbean, I have not had any problems yet with Amazon and I recommend fully this product and Amazon. Great combination.

bought a new mid 2012 macbook and with the stock hdd, rainbow wheel was constant when using it. swapped it out with this ssd, and the computer flies. paying for the ssd hurts, but its worth it in the end.
