Works just like a normal drive

This replaced a traditional drive in an old Laptop that I still use from time to time. Hard to find an IDE SSD and this one did the!. I did do a complete re-install of XP instead of restoring an image onto it as some SSD users have had issues with resoring images from a traditional drive to a SSD. Definitly faster than the 10+ year old drive it replaced.

Works Great

Used to upgrade Apple Powerbook G4, replacing the original PATA Seagate 100GB. There's a noticeable performance increase. Had no problems installing the SSD, the computer recognized it immediately on boot. OS X 10.5 installed with no problems at all. The upgrade added some new life to a 7 year old computer.

replace an ide drive in an old compaq R3000 portable

this is the only ssd drive that has an ide interface so that i could upgrade an old 2005 compaq r3000 portable, the drive plugged in and has worked great and has given new life to a good but dated portable computer.
