Bought this for my hp 2730p to replace the factory 120gb hard drive. After looking around for the best value I'm glad I stumbled on to this. The speed is certainly the biggest advantage. I havent run any formal benchmarks but using the windows experience index i went from 4.1 (it was a samsung 1.8 inch hdd) to 7.3 with this. Noticeably faster all around. I expected some power savings but that was not the priority. However I am impressed and surprised by the added battery life I've gained. Previous doing basic tasks (browsing the internet using chrome, taking notes in windows journal, office software) I would get a maximum of 4 hours. Now I can easily get 6 hours doing the same tasks. Finally I enjoy the feeling of comfort knowing there are no moving parts left in the computer (except the fan). Knowing I can jiggle it around a little when I'm walking and taking notes is a nice feeling. It's also (obviously) silent, another advantage over the previous hdd. The only downside I could even mention is the lack of a casing. I just cut out a small rectangle of antistatic plastic (from the bag it came in) and placed it between the chassis of the tablet and this ssd for good measure. I may update this review to comment on the long term longevity and true battery life but so far I can certainly recommend it!

I finally figured out which adapter I need in order to put this in my computer. Be sure to use a Micro SATA Cables- SATA to Micro SATA adapter for 1.8 inch SSD 3.3V or 5V Drives. Unfortunately, I tried the wrong things at first.I installed the SSD in my Mac Pro, the big tower model. So far, I'm using it only for /var/vm (virtual memory swap files). Eventually, I will put the whole operating system on it. When I do that, I expect the system to speed up considerably.
