By Timothy
Better pricing can be found at the 'egg' - if you catch my drift...Partitioned it into 2 drives and dual boot between OSX and Win7. Used in conjunction with a Dell Precision M6600 with qty 2 HGST Travelstar 2.5-Inch 500GB 7200RPM SATA III 32MB Cache SATA 6Gbps Internal Bare or OEM Drives (HTS725050A7E630) in Raid 0.In windows, moved the desktop to the RAID drive, and temporary files to "Ramdisk" using Primo Ramdisk. The SSD is just used for operating systems and program installation launching. Games are installed on the RAID array. The setup works flawlessly. SSD performs reasonably. Although it is a SATA III disk, the MSATA port on the Dell M6600 is only SATA II. Boots to a usable desktop pretty fast, and launches programs faster than when I ran a standard hard drive, but not with the surprising speed most cheer... in contrast, I do have a lot of drivers that run at start-up compared to a 'normal' user's computer.---- Update ----took one star away. Starting to have issues with the drive not being recognized by the Bios on cold start up. I have to shut down twice, sometimes 5 times before it is recognized. This must be a sign of the drive going bad since it never did that before. It could also be an issue with the computer's BIOS; regardless, this should be brought to attention.----------------

I have too much stuff. This drive allows me to save more of it and retreive it faster than my OEM 128GB.

By G. Armstrong
I purchased this mSATA drive since it was highly rated product from technical testers. It was actually less expensive than much less technically rated second tier mSATA SSD drives (at the time of this writing). This ADATA drive is consider a top tier mSATA product. At first I was leery about purchasing this since there was only one review on Amazon. This was a very simple upgrade to my 64GB Samsung PM800 SATA II in my Dell Precision M6500 laptop. This was my OS boot drive, and the laptop had 2 500GB drives I have raid 0 for my data.1) Made sure I had a current backup.2) Remove the laptop battery, two screws to remove the cover and one screw holding in mSATA drive itself.3) Restored the 50GB of data that was on the previous drive to this new drive. This took 19 minutes.Total time to upgrade and restore was less than 30 minutes. The restore was made real easy since I use Windows Server Essentials 2012 as my backup server. It's restore procedure is excellent, and very simple. However, any good restore procedure is not going to be difficult with this Laptop / mSATA drive combination since no new drivers were required.
