By Scott
I got an SSD a year ago made by another company because it was cheap, but the controller has been known to have a lot of reliability issues. I was waiting for the next generation of SSD controllers so I could have reliability on my OS drive. Finally the wait is over. Corsair's new Neutron drives feature a LAMD controller that will have the reliability you expect from a SSD. A hard drive is something you use daily. Reliability and speed played a big part in why wanted the Neutron drive. On my own benchmark tests it scored 208 MB/s write and 500 MB/s read rates which means fast boots and quick loading times while playing my games. This is installed as my OS drive so I have a boot time of less than 25 seconds. The drive has a 5 year warranty.Installation was easy, plugged it in and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 and I was good to go.I have run into no issues with it so far and has provided me with a great SSD experience.Synopsis: This drive gives you the reliability and speed you want and expect from a SSD.

By Ben
The short of it:It was a no hassle install with Windows 7 right out of the boxIt comes with a 3.5" conversion bracket and screws, no SATA cable though. It's fast, quiet, and doesn't use much power and therefore doesn't generate a lot of heat. The long of it:I'm running an older foxconn motherboard and AMD quadcore at the moment with plans to upgrade in the near future. I wanted something that would be able to take advantage of those upgrades when they came so I went for the Neutron.I upgraded from an HDD with a SSD Cache Drive, so of course things move along much more quickly now. There were no firmware updates needed for my 3 year old computer to immediately recognize and utilize the drive. This drive is sturdy, it's a tight fit in my case and the drive saw a bit of abuse as I finagled it into the drive bay where it now resides.I'm running it on SATA II connection and doing a clean install of Windows 7, transferring all my programs and files around, reformatting my old drive, moving the files back over to the old drive... All said and done it was roughly a 4 hour process which was about 8 hours less than I anticipated. All in all I found the upgrade process to be very smooth and headache free and the performance is everything I hoped for. I can't wait to really give it a go when I upgrade the rest of my rig.

By Colton J. Weingarden
Good: The drive is fast and supposedly more stable than other drive controllers that are out on the market. Installation was a breeze, comes with 3.5 standard drive adapter.Installation of windows 7/8 was super fast and it benched at the marked speeds. Stable starts up for the last few weeks, really enjoy the extra speed. The So-SoThe GTX line of this drive is the king of the hill as far as ssd at the time of this review writing. Having both amazing read and write.... however this line the write speeds don't compare with manyof the competitions drives. Although the price point is lower and to be honest you will use your read way more than your write in most occasions. The bottom line.A fast stable drive that you will see the increase in speed from a HDD. Not quite as fast as its brother and only minimally priced differently. Look at your budget and choose the best one for you!
