By Rob
I am a moderately experienced software and hardware user. I purchased this product not once, but twice! I gave it the benefit of the doubt the first time I had a problem thinking it may have just been a production issue. However the problem repeated itself again with the second purchase. I have a Gateway P-78 FX series laptop and i installed this correctly with win 7 64bit as a primary HD. The SSD performed amazingly fast for about a week and then boom! All of a sudden I get the error "no OS installed" on boot up... upon checking the SSD on another computer, sure enough all info on the drive was completely gone. This problem happened twice with two separate drives... My tradition HDD works just fine so it is not a connection issue. I've found countless other forums with people having this same issue and OCZ seems to try and pawn the problem off and has no idea what causes it or even recognizes it as a legitimate problem with their drives. Maybe this will work fine with you... but for me this was very disappointing as I wanted this SSD to work out. Buyer beware.

By eaglejoeli
Bought the SSD at the end of August, 2011 and installed it on a Toshiba Portege laptop with Windows 7. Use was light. On December 15, Windows 7 showed me the dreadful Big Blue Screen saying "there is a problem with your computer, windows is shutting down to protect your computer". After that, windows couldn't boot up again. The SSD was definitely the problem because other hard drives would start on the computer without any hassle. The SSD couldn't be recognized when in a SATA enclosure. All data on the disk were thus lost.OCZ offers very competitive prices but reliability is disappointing. I had expected that it would last at least for a year or two but 4 months is definitely too short

By Anthony N
*****WARNING**** Three drives and three failures using OCZ's own Secure Erase program. Contacted OCZ waited for a call back and was told there aware of the issue but yet its not on there forms. 3 out of 3 dead. Purchased Corsair and no issues yet thank god. What a nightmare coming from a hdd raptor user and for a first experience with ssd's. Stay away from these drives..After doing some research which i should have done before the purchase they have the highest failure rate among there competitors!!! No wonder why there so much cheaper per gb. Always come down to you get what you pay for.
