By Vinayaga Raman
For all those of you who are having dead drives, it looks like a major firmware goof up. Apparently, the drives dies because of a firmware problem and is being acknowledged openly by Kingston. So if you buy this drive, upgrade the firmware two minutes after you open the package and before you do any work on it. It will ensure that you use the SSD for many years to come.[...]Having said that, the SSD is surely good value for money and is very fast.

I bought five of these drives for the office for five different PCs. Within two months, one of them had died. Within nine months, two more were dead. We stopped using the last two. I recommend the Intel SSD instead. We switched over to that and have had no problems. And, the Intel SSD is faster, at least according to the "Windows Experience Index".

By Howard Dolinsky
With the architecture of a new computer and an Intel i3 processor, changing from a 5400 rpm hard drive to this SSHD makes my laptop boot Windows 7 in seconds. Opens and closes programs in a flash. I have a large Toshiba with 2 drive bays and the second drive has a 500 GB drive, so I have enough storage on-board. Still, it would be nice if this speedy drive gave more storage for the buck. Someday the 256 GB ones will cost what this 128 GB one costs now. Comes with software that makes installation easy, or Norton Ghost works as well.
