By Hexstone
I purchased this to be part of a new computer build for our church about 2 months ago. It was my first build with an SSD, but installed without a hitch and provided a level of performance I didn't think was possible for a build ~$500.After reading several reviews on this product, I had to double-check the drive I used was the same. I had none of the issues others wrote about. The drive was plugged into the GIGABYTE GA-M68MT-S2P AM3 motherboard together with a WD 1TB HDD and both were recognized by the BIOS. Installation of 64bit Windows 7 and MS Office went smoothly. I re-targeted the user folders to the HDD to minimize the load on the SDD.I feel bad for the others who had problems with this drive. Based on my experience, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

We ordered 5 of these for the office. Of the 5, 3 have failed within their first year (not recognized in BIOS after a blue screen) and had to be RMA'd. The other 2 haven't been installed yet. All had the latest firmware updates done (easy with this drive, not so much with the other OCZ drives). What we saved by going with these over something like the Intel drives we've easily lost in hours restoring/re-installing software on the machines with failed drives. They're pretty good about replacing them, but it's ridiculous to have to RMA nearly all of them at one point or another. It's to the point I'd rather throw them away than risk installing them in another machine when replacements arrive.

As with most everything, you get what you pay for. This SSD is an entry-level model, but still greatly outperforms my 7200 rpm HDD. I am using it inside my MacBook Pro with an opti-bay enclosure, and it's working well so far!
