This is a great replacement for the original SSD found in Mini 9. Its performance is superior. I do not experience the lagging anymore.

I was able to get my Dell Mini 9 up and running on this SSD with little effort. The installation instructions are fairly vague; not-so-techie buyers will need assistance from the nerdy neighbor kid. The instructions go something like this: 1) open package 2) clone hard drive using included software 3) install. There are more complete installation procedures included on the drive itself.If it is not apparent, pop open the included black plastic drive case, pop the SSD into place inside the drive case, plug it into your computer using the included USB cable, and navigate to the install docs using Windows Explorer.I chose not to use the included software, I used Macrium Reflect (free) and an emergency recovery USB stick (bootable) to perform the SSD clone from one of my periodic backups.

This SSD works great and made my computer much faster. Installing the OS was much faster too. This drive has about the same read speed as the old STEC 8gb drive that came with my system, but write speed is twice as fast. Now I have plenty of room for music and videos. The only problem is it gets hotter than my old SSD after 1/2 hour. I still like it and don't plan to return it.
