1The worst experience with a drive ever
By Adrian Burke
I really should have listened to the negative review given by one poster on this product. Monster Digital is a very bad company to deal with. No support for the product so far from them. There are no troubleshooting forums and I cannot get a call back or an email from the support team there even though there is an email address and phone number for support. I cannot respect a company that only gives you a number for an answering service and refuses to answer emails. Do not buy products from this company. Buy from a company that has a solid support process in place and is willing to help customers with issues. At this time I am still waiting for a response from the company and will most likely have to send the product back to amazon for a refund or replacement. I am not looking forward to a replacement as I fear the same support issues if the next drive has a problem. Again....DO NOT BUY MONSTER DIGITAL PRODUCTS.

1You'll be LUCKY if it is DOA !!
By Bob Dobbs
I buy all kinds of stuff on Amazon, though I bought the Monster Digital Daytona 120GB SSD at Fry's.We were upgrading a customer's computers from Windows XP to 7, and wanted to soup-up a couple of them a little, so we bought two of these drives, and WHOOSH -- dang, an SSD does make a computer zippy. First time using SSDs, and it was super-successful.Or so it seemed. After about 2 months, the customer called -- the MANAGER's computer just completely died while she was writing an email. Went there and found the drive completely and totally dead. (Others may have, but I have NEVER seen a conventional new hard-drive just totally die in two months, unless maybe in a high-heat situation.)Luckily, we had recently installed a Drobo FS NAS for on-site backup and as a "poor man's file-server". So I was able to recover all the customer's email and documents, etc. But it of course took hours to reinstall Windows and all of her applications, and get everything back to the way it should be.What this experience has taught me is that SSDs are very fast, but in most future deployments I will spend the extra money to get two of them, and configure them in a RAID 1. That way, if another one just up and DIES, the mirrored drive should still be there for easy, fast recovery.Depending on what Monster says about the changes they make, and how well they take care of me on replacement, I MIGHT use a Monster Digital SSD again, but it's looking pretty doubtful at this point. So, if you get one of these that is defective, you'll be LUCKY if it is DOA, as happened to at least one reviewer. Because one of the other options is that it dies after it is loaded with lots of important data, which could be all gone in an instant.Good luck!

1Works great (for 20 minutes)
By pinkus
This is a unique drive! I've never seen one that will consistently work for 20 minutes and then completely lock up and be undetectable until you let it sit for an hour or so. After your one hour rest, you are good to go for another 20 minutes!I generally prefer that my storage media be accessible full time rather than small intervals. I did not find this device to increase productivity at all. Although Windows does start very quickly, it would be far more useful if it actually ran for long enough to accomplish some work.
