By DaveM
I'm quite pleased with the OCZ Solid State drive I purchased through Amazon. My Windows 7 Experience Index for my boot drive has gone from 5.9 to 7.0. Also programs that I sometimes thought had hung because they were taking so long to come up, now start within a few seconds. The booting of Windows 7 (from the point where hard disc activity starts) has dropped from a minimum of 90 to 120 seconds to no more than 40 seconds.I have a total of 7 hard drives and two DVD drives.I got the 3.5" model, since it fits directly in existing drive bays. As it is, it's thin enough that it fits directly above my floppy drive (both drives fitting in one slot). Thus far, no problems with it at all.OCZ Technology 120 GB Agility 2 Series SATA II 3.5-Inch Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD3-2AGT120G

We buy a lot of solid state drives for work now. These are great because they come already in a 3.5" for factor so you don't need to buy the $20 case like with the 2.5" drives. The speeds are great as well. The only con is the price per GB however if you don't need a lot of storage and just speed these are great. We have them running in iMacs, Windows Desktops and the 2.5" version in laptops. Please note that OSX doesn't have TRIM support and isn't available till 10.7. You'll occasionally have to run disk utility to fix minor issues. Windows XP suffers the same fate as well. Windows Vista and 7 both have native trim support.

like an energizer bunny. I've had this since 2011 and it's worked hard without a hitch. When I buy upgrades, I will get the same brandname but in a larger storage size. :)
