Been keeping an eye on SSDs for my home PC where I do extensively publishing works and some gaming :-)Finally, made the leap to get one, and a small step at that for I only selected the 64GB size. Figured that I only need a SSD for booting Windows, and launch applications while I can keep other files on my existing HDD.Installation was easy as system recoganized the drive right away, and system transfer had no issues.What a joy it was to boot from SSD, and launch games! I had to break my tradition of go off getting snacks after power PC on since there was "no wait time".... And I felt I had to write about this as this might be greatest upgrade I put into my PC

I bought this drive last year. It has F/W 2.01 (US firmware) and mfg date July 2011. The newest firmware on plextor website is 1.09 dated May 2012. So firmware update is impossible.Some have complained in their forum but nothing happens.[...]

The Acronis True Image software that came with my ssd drive is already registered so I can't use the ssd drive at this point to replace the hard drive. There is no phone number to call Plextor directly, but a chat online for support questions. So, I waited patiently 2 times for a rep(ten minutes each). Finally, I got hold of someone on their chat system on the third try. The person couldn't help me and told me email support@plextoramericas.com for help. Terrible support!!! I emailed them and will see what kind of a response I get from them. Very tempted at this point to return the product back to Amazon. I will wait for one day to see how quickly this gets resolved before I ship it back to Amazon.
